This lady is taking large sections..it would be a more precision cut if she took smaller sections for cutting, the cut would be seamless. She is also not mentioning enough about removing weight, that is the unflattering thickness that settles near the bottom of long hair. The model has damaged ends and it's practically being burned by the flat iron. And I've never seen anyone blow dry like that, I feel like I'm watching a Melissa McCarthy comedy...

I tried this technique in my curly hair. I found it relatively easy to do, however I wear my hair up in a bun alot and it just looked wrong! I ended up bleaching my whole head in the end.
